Lenovo Z2 Plus to launch in India on September 22 Prize=Rs 14,000,

Lenovo will launch the Z2 Plus, which is possibly renamed Zuk Z2, in India on September 22. The company was teasing the launch of the Z2 Plus for the last few days on its social media channels. But on Saturday it sent out media invites for an event in New Delhi, where it would launch the phone.
Although for now we don't know if the Z2 Plus is going to be identical to the Zuk Z2, which is sold in China, or if there will be changes. We suspect that the hardware is going to be exactly same but on software side there might be some changes.
Talking of the Z2 Plus hardware, this is going to be one powerful phone, probably the most powerful that Lenovo has launched so far in the country. It uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and has a 5-inch FullHD screen. It also 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera.
The phone uses Android 6 aka Marshmallow and although Android Nougat is now the latest version of Android, we don't see the Z2 Plus shipping with Nougat.
Unlike the Z1, which came to India almost a year after its global launch (largely due to legal issues surrounding Cyanogen OS), the Z2 aka the Z2 Plus is coming to the country barely months after its global unveil. This is good news for consumers.
For now not much is known about the price of the Z2 Plus. But the Zuk Z2 sells for around $270 in China and if that sort of price holds, the Z2 Plus in India may cost somewhere close to Rs 20,000, which will also make it probably the cheapest phone using Snapdragon 820. The Z1 was launched at a price of less than Rs 14,000, however that was an unusually aggressive price on the part of Lenovo because it was an old phone. The Z2 Plus will possibly have a more regular price.
