Samsung is holding an event in the national capital on September 19, where it is likely to launch its new Galaxy J-series phone, the Galaxy J7 Prime. The Galaxy J7 Prime was first announced in August and was recently said to be (already) selling in India at Rs 18,790, courtesy retailers like Mumbai-based Mahesh Telecom. Samsung is yet to formally launch the Galaxy J7 Prime in the country though.
The company is now sending out media invites for the launch event, that although, do not directly mention the Galaxy J7 Prime, leave a lot of visual cues to confirm the phone that will be launching on the said date.
"Get ready for the Prime time. Join us we unveil the next in J-series," says the invite.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime boasts of a full metal unibody with a front-mounted fingerprint scanner. It comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display. The phone is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clubbed with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is further expandable by up to 256GB via microSD card.
The dualSIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based TouchWiz UI and supports 4G LTE connectivity option.
The Galaxy J7 Prime sports a 13-megapixel camera on the rear with f/1.9 aperture, autofocus and LED flash. On the front you get an 8-megapixel camera, also with LED flash.
The phone is backed by a 3,300 mAh battery.
Samsung launched its mid-level 4G LTE dualSIM smartphone, the Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) in India on Friday. The Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) has been priced at Rs 32,490 in India, and will be available in Gold, Black and White in physical retail stores starting from September 26.
The Galaxy A9 Pro comes with a glass and metal body design, a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor clubbed with 4 gigs of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is further expandable by up to 256GB via microSD card. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the rear with f/1.9 aperture, autofocus, OIS and LED flash. On the front you get an 8-megapixel camera. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.
