How to Change Your Name in Pokémon Go

When Pokémon Go first came out, you were stuck with whatever Trainer name you chose — meaning there was no going back from being PeekAtChu99 or iLuvCharmander. Fortunately, the game's recent version 1.3 update lets you change your name — finally — but choose wisely; you only have one shot to do so. Here's how to wipe away your old username and become the Trainer you've always wanted to be

1. Open Pokémon Go and tap the Pokéball in the center of the screen.

2. Select Settings at the top right.

3. Select Change Nickname. 

4. Select Yes when asked if you're sure you want to change your name. Choose wisely!
