News= Apple partners with Flipkart to sell iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus online in India

Apple has partnered with Flipkart to make it authorized online reseller in India, ahead of the launch of iPhone 7 in India next month. Previously only Infibeam was Apple’s authorized online reseller in the country to sell iPhone and iPad. Now Flipkart will also sell Mac officially. This was first reported by BGR.in.

Flipkart also has a separate page for the iPhone 7. Apart from these online retailers, several premium resellers will sell these phones. Apple is yet to start its official retail store in the country, which is rumored to arrive by the end of 2017.

The Apple iPhone 7 starts at Rs. 60,000 for the 32GB version and goes up to Rs. 80,000 for the 256GB variant, while the iPhone 7 Plus starts at Rs. 72,000 for the 32GB version and goes up to Rs. 92,000 for the 256GB variant. Both the phones will launch in India on October 7th.

It’s Confirmed: “Intel Inside” The New Apple iPhone 7

Short Bytes: In a teardown operation by Chipworks it has been confirmed that some iPhone 7 models are running Intel mobile platform wireless chips inside. The model in the teardown was iPhone 7 A1778. This has also solidified the earlier reports about Apple shifting to multiple vendors for wireless modems.

Apple recently released the iPhone 7 which marked the end of the analog 3.5mm jack from the Apple iPhone line. Just like the older iPhone models, the iPhone 7 features an A series chip known as A10 Fusion. Unlike other smartphone manufacturers, Apple itself designs the chips for its iPhones. But the whole chip is not made with Apple-made components.


Until now, the iPhone-maker has been dependent on chip makers like Qualcomm for the wireless chips which enable iPhone to connect to a carrier network. Chipworks, in its iPhone 7 A1778 teardown, has found an Intel Mobile Platform chips.

“Intel supplied not just one, but two RF transceivers, the baseband modem, and the (RF) power management IC,” reads a blog post. Chipworks is a Canada-based patent analysis company which reverse engineers devices for companies who want to monitor their patents.

The teardown confirmation has also solidified earlier rumors of Apple going for multiple modem vendors. In June 2016, Bloomberg, referring to unnamed sources, reported that Apple would be putting Intel wireless modem chips for the new AT&T exclusive iPhones and some other variants in overseas markets. The report also said that Apple would use Qualcomm chips for the Verizon exclusive iPhones and the iPhone models sold in China.

Apple confirmed on Wednesday 7, 2016, the design and specifications of the iPhone 7, the new generation of its world-famous smartphone. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have been designed with all the attributes that we saw on rumors in recent weeks and preserving the key design concepts of the previous generation, being the main highlight its new finish, called the company Jet Black.

The new design with antennae integrated into the cabinet itself (removing part of surface lines in darker colors) is only the first of the top ten news of the new generation. The biggest feature update, however, comes in the camera department. Apple iPhone 7 now comes with an updated 12MP iSight camera with wider f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation. The iPhone 7 Plus gets dual rear camera setup with one sensor for wide-angle and another one for telephoto.
